We have been in development on the RVR reels for more than two years. We started with a groundbreaking and beautifully modern design and quickly found out how challenging it is to machine a reel this complex. No one had ever seen anything like it. The complexity and double anodized design of the RVR would prove too difficult to achieve on a conventional 3-Axis machine, so we sought out the newest 5-Axis machines available. The result speaks for itself.

SPECIALIZED TROUT REELS FOR A VARIETY OF TECHNIQUES.
The super large arbor of this reel design addresses the unique capacity requirements of the level lines used in European-style nymphing. The spool size and capacity is greatly reduced as these fly lines don’t have the typical thick belly like a traditional fly line. Hi-stickers, your reel has arrived.

I’ve used the Sage ESN and Remington Tilt in the past and this reel is noticeably smoother and lighter. Nice overall performance and excellent drag. Nice work!
Born and raised in Alaska. I have had the blessing of being able to perfect my micro leader technique across the entire state of Alaska. The RVR EN is un-parralled in its ability to fine tune the drag system and fight the fish the most efficient way possible. The benefits of these reels aren’t something that i can summarize in a few paragaraphs. Just know, if you buy an RVR, you will not be disappointed. These reels aren’t light years ahead of the other ESN style reels. Buy with confidence!
The Bauer RVR Euro-Nymph is quite possibly the nicest freshwater reel I have ever owned. It’s beautiful, too. The large arbor makes loose line retrieval very quick and easy.
I bought this Product because I wanted a Euro Nymphing Reel that more than ticked the boxes.I am not dissapointed!Sublime drag and at a weight that will balance on most Rods. Craftmanship that is Typical of Bauer. One happy Angler.
Words can’t express how incredible this reel is. Smooth as silk, drag is beyond incredible. Fishing super light tippet (7,8,9X) and getting a fish on the reel isnt even a concern. Balances perfect for me on a T&T Contact II 10′ 2 weight. Would highly recommend anyone who is serious about euro fishing to grab one of these and experience what perfection feels like for themselves!
